A New Sale to Benefit Sinbad-Sadie

I’ve been thinking about doing this for a while… but this notification popped up on my phone this morning and I just had to act on my idea…

I attended an adoptathon this past weekend in Goose Creek, SC. It had several rescue organizations there, but I was there with Sinbad-Sadie Second Chance Rescue. If you haven’t heard of them – you need to stop what you’re doing and go check out their website and/or Facebook page right now. I’ll wait….

See.. isn’t that awesome??  Okay, for those of you who didn’t click the links here is the run down:

There are so many dogs that are put to sleep in local shelters simply because there isn’t enough room or there are too many of a certain breed or they are heart-worm positive.   This is really unacceptable.  Sinbad Sadie comes in, if there are foster families available, and takes as many as they can before they are destroyed.  They’ve saved a lot of lives, and with donations and volunteers, they can continue to save many more.

So why is a fiber artist telling you all of this?  Well, as I said, I was at the adoptathon this weekend.  I brought a little project to work on between visitors to the booth.  Because you shouldn’t ever waste a good chance to knit.  I finished the bright and spring-colored blue hat while I was there and thought it would be a cool idea to sell it for $25 and give $10 to Sinbad Sadie.  That got me thinking… I could use this crochet/knit pattern to create other hats, made to order, and give the $10 to Sinbad-Sadie.

If you get a hat that’s made to order, you can pick any 1 or 2 colors you like, and it’ll be made for you within 2-3 business days.  Or you can simply order the blue hat that really got this idea off the ground.  It’s ready to ship now.

Here are the listings to the original hat and the made to order hats that are available.

Honestly… please consider donating to this amazing organization, even if you pass on the hats.  Your donation will help save lives.  And that really is what it’s all about.
